Multiple Packaging Rates
To create shipping for multiple packaging rates (e.g., small and large parcels), follow these steps:
Create Different Shipping Methods:
- Create two different shipping methods with different weight limits. For example, set one
method for 0-499 grams 'Small parcel', and another for 500-1000 grams. - These settings can be found in the "General" tab when creating or editing a shipping method.
Set Product Shipping Properties:
- In the individual product's "Shipping Properties" tab, enter a weight that is applicable to the chosen shipping method.
- For example, for hats under 500 grams, the customer will be offered the 'Small parcel' option at checkout.
Different Regions in a Country
To set up multiple rates for different states or areas in a country, create two different shipping methods and name them accordingly with different rates for the same country.
For example:
- Name one shipping method 'US East', select the USA, and add a rate of $20.
- Create another shipping method 'US West', select the USA, and add a rate of $30.
During checkout, the customer will select the shipping method according to their preference.
